Important Notice For Providers

Alternative Payment agencies, like CDA, are being asked by the California Department of Education (CDE) Early Education and Support Division (EESD) to notify child care providers about changes in the child immunization requirements that took place on January 1, 2016.  Senate Bill 277  changed the immunization requirements for children in child care and public and private schools.   No longer are parents able to exempt their child(ren) from being fully immunized for personal or religious beliefs. If a child  had a personal belief exemption (PBE) that was  filed at a school or child-care facility before January 1, 2016 it  will remain valid until the student enrolls in transitional kindergarten, kindergarten or 7th grade.  For more information regarding Senate Bill 277 and your responsibilities as a licensed child care provider in documenting enrolled children’s immunizations visit www.shotsforschool.org
